Our Approach
You Were Made To Thrive
At Thrive Chiropractic, we address activity-limiting problems with a science-based, flexible approach, combining different methods to find what works best for you. We aim to take the time to understand your goals, relieve symptoms as quickly as possible, and create individualized long-term strategies to help you thrive. Through personalized care, we help to change lives in workers, athletes, families, children, and everyday people.
First, we show you how to spare your tissues from further harm. Second, we show you how to stabilize your tissues so you can return to an active lifestyle, and keep it that way.
The heart of our approach is to restore your abilities and make you feel more confident. It’s not about exercises you must do or treatments you must receive. Our approach strives to reactivate you - we want to bridge the gap between your current capabilities and your goals in a time-sensitive matter.
How We Do It
Chiropractic focuses on the improper function of the vertebral column, called subluxation. These disrupt normal spinal movement and cause stress upon the nerves and structures it was made to protect - decreasing our abilities to do the things we love to the best of our abilities. When we cannot move properly, our body has to cheat to move. This subjects other parts of our body to abnormal forces that wear them down. Our spine and body will wear in coordination to the forces that it is exposed to. This is often reflected in someone’s posture and in their movement.
The best way to picture this is a deflated tire on a vehicle. The driver must steer differently to drive straight, causing different wear on their other tires. Sadly, we cannot just get new tires - we only get one spine for our lives. Our life span has increased, but our health plan has not, leaving most people living their final years in preventable disease and excessive wear that diminishes the quality of their lives.
Modern pain management systems place an emphasis on structure (hardware). This makes chiropractic excellent at detecting dysfunction and restoring motion to the spine. In addition, at Thrive, we focus on rebooting the software (way we move). By evaluating your structure AND your functional movement, we can accelerate your recovery and put you in control to unhindered performance.
